Dengar ship is going to make me quit!

I spent well over a year working on profundity and now leviathan only to have one ship nullify all that work. Now I wasted a year building profundity to have a ship that can't beat anything. A 3 Dengar ship with a 5 exec destroyed my fully complete profundity. Thanks CG you ruined this game for me. I expect a response or I'm done. Dengar's ship better be nerfed. Or profundity upgraded to obliterate executor or I'm out. Check my account, I've spent some $ on this game. No more. I give you till the 20th or I'm gone. Hate on me, don't care. But this is why I hate the gatcha gaming industry. 212-299-513 ally code. Might not be much, but it's a good bit of cash you won't have.

  • My impression was it's not that impressive, just another ship to ignore.  I don't have any of the ships being mentioned, so can someone please explain how Dengar's ship is single-handedly turning Prof and Levi to **bleep**?  I mean, Prof, Levi, and Executor are the three big journey ships.  It's okay if they can beat each other from time to time, I don't think there should be one capital that simply owns the game.  If that's the case, why bother?  Is one ship really making Executor completely unbeatable!?  Actual question.

Levi is very difficult to beat with Profundity. However it could trash Exec.

Exec couldn't beat either of the other two elite cap ships, so it needed an upgrade.

But what you want is a balance of power -- each of the 3 ships that requires the most investment can beat at least one other cap ship among those elite 3. With Profundity only regularly able to beat Exec, boosting Exec vs. Profundity is a fundamentally unsound idea. It results in a 2 ship meta instead of 3, where if you have Exec or Levi, you can beat at least 2 of the enemy's meta fleets, where if you have only Profundity you can only beat Profundities. This locks down your available strategies. In other words, you lose flexibility.

Worse, while Profundity can obviously win mirror matches, b/c of the RNG component to the number of assists you get it's very difficult to strategize your way to a win. You can make these mirrors 100% reliable, but only by bringing in ships that are needed for other fleets (such as the TIE Bomber).

Profundity isn't useless -- that's hyperbole. But it is now worth less than other fleets, yet costs approximately the same to get. While people are overblowing the situation, this is the kernel of legit criticism at the heart of the big kerfuffle.

Not truly the case.  Triple attacker Exec can beat Profundity pre PO.  Also had a shard mate bump up most of his Exec fleet to R9 and he could regularly beat Levi and would get defense holds against Levi.  I will be interested to see the TIE dagger upgrade and what it means against PO and for Levi mirror matches.

Most of what I see here is a lot of people complaining that they can no longer win every aspect of the game every time they try. I'm no whale that spends thousands of dollars on the game... but I AM in the 10 Million club, have quite a decent roster including Leviathan and Executor. I haven't lost any sleep over P1 Execs beating my Leviathan nor will I lose any sleep from anyone rage-quiting the game.

  • Waaaaahhhhh CG introduces new things to shake up the meta. The whining is astounding. It absolutely irritating that I can wipe out multiple ships from the Levi fleet before they take out a single one of mine yet they still get their ULT off first, yet nobody complained about 4star Levi's beating 7 star executors. Quit crying and get over yourself. They make millions, go ahead and quit, they won't care. Threatining a multi million dollar company when you put maybe $1000 at most into the game is pennies. Either get over it, or leave. Storp crying.

  • Years ago, I quit because there was just one meta and not having it cuts you off the crytals. When I came back, I saw a lot of GL but no one is unbeatable by others. Still in the fleet arena, there was the meta concept and not having Levi kept you out of the top10. I really like it, that there is at least the possibility again to beat a meta ship with another one. It is healthy for the arena to have some mixup again.
Levi is still the better lineup.

No team or fleet should be unbeatable.

I agree with you with the caveat that while no fleet should be unbeatable, the hardest to get fleet must also be the hardest to beat. If a marquee makes that fleet so easy to beat, then that marquee should be readjusted accordingly.

Freaking whiners. There has been 1000 reason also for me to quit the game. All those lightspeed bundles devalued the roster and effort a lot.

I guess no one's told you about datacrons yet, huh?

  • If you want to be competitive at the top you need a full roster, in preparation of what may come next.

Profundity hasn't been top dog for a while now, but you having built it means you are prepared for when the lifter unit comes for that fleet, eventually, if ever.

If Punishing One is so good, switch to using it with its appropriate fleet instead of using Profundity, for the duration of its reign.

I agree it's not great that a 3 star ship is good enough for meta, but it's also not the end of the world.
