No offense, but it never stops. I just back to K3, first fight out gp'd by 1.5M. My only chance was a no show, he lost. Knocked back to K4, even fight, i win, back to K3, outpointed by 1.2M this time. Doesn't matter what level you are, they have no interest in setting up fair fights. The have their algorithm they think is perfect and will never hear anything against it.
Complaining about a 1.2M GP gap when you have 12.3M and have 8 GLs is a bit of a stretch. Claiming your “only chance was a no show” is baffling.
A player at your level shouldn’t be viewing a ~10% GP gap as insurmountable. When people complain about 5M or more GP gaps between GAC opponents, that’s a valid complaint. Your’s isn’t.
And for the umpteenth time, they don’t have an algorithm. They have a ladder and you are drawn with 7 people adjacent to you on that ladder. Period.
@Darjelo I agree with your sentiment. I don't get bent out of shape over a 1M GP difference either, and I've been able to out-strategize opponents with slightly bigger rosters when I've taken the time to care (lately, hardly ever).
To that end, this post isn't very relevant to myself anymore but I still stand by the complaint. For the players with lower GP and/or few GL (especially players who are 100% free to play) this event is still an utter nightmare more often than it is fun just because the matchmaking is... well... absurd.
To that end, just because the post isn't all that relevant for me any more doesn't mean I'm going to bury my head in the sand like many of the higher players. This IS still an issue that should be addressed by CG whether they like it or not!
