Did anyone noticed CG removed an assault battle?
According to November's calendar, there will not be the Forest Moon AB. Hope they're not going to replace the old ABs with the new ones

It's normally Wednesdays and Saturdays. We had one on Friday (Nov 1st) for some reason, but all of the available ABs will usually fall on one of those days. It would be very unusual for them to drop an AB all together and not run it at all. It's happened once before - I think there used to be a resistance AB? We're talking years back at this point - but yeah, I really suspect this is just a mistake in the calendar and not them nuking one of the assault battles. I would think Meathead would give us a heads up about such a thing. Well... I would hope he would. He's good people and has always gone out of his way for us, so by default he gets the benefit of the doubt in my book.
IIRC, it was Ground War that used to require Resistance before they changed it to Jedi and... whatever the other faction is, I can't remember which. At this point I have all the ABs except DoF and the upcoming Peridea battle all at 3 stars so I don't pay attention, I just sim them most of the time.
And, yeah, I agree with the rest of what you said. Removing an existing and monthly event would be huge, there should be some kind of advance notice. Emphasis on should be. Hopefully, it's just an oversight. Emphasis on hopefully.
