Absolutely not. One was saying all the game was about RNG, which is wrong since some content (or characters) really relies upon strategy and not on 50% TL chance. Hence everyone would be using auto-battle everywhere if it was only about RNG.
Ships strategy is as poor as unexciting - TL, rince repeat. There's no other mechanics, at all. I won't comment the "real life" argument since we're talking about space ships firing blasters or destroying planets. ;)
