Does power level not matter?

So I consistently find that in all the PVP games within Star Wars Galaxy that power level means nothing. Absolutely nothing. Most of the time I have a 2-3000 power level advantage but my characters are destroyed quickly often without taking out even one of the opponents characters. This is highly, no extremely, annoying and anger inducing.

What have you all seen or found?

    I would say that Power as a stat is only marginally important. Team synergy is more important. Power tends to favor health and protection and putting a bunch of tanks on the field at once isnt overly effective.

    Personally, I don't get into arena battle with teams 2000-3000 more power than my team. Have you looked to see how they are modded? Modding is a very important aspect in succeeding in arena. Do you use mod? My team is sitting around 21,900 and their level is 63-64 and I do not venture above 22500 or so.

    If you are looking at similar team compositions, then power will matter. But, power is overstated for tanks and understated for certain characters (Wedge and droids for example). And team composition and synergy matter a lot.

    I hit 2nd place today for payout. The teams around me had minimum 10k power more than me. I run wiggs chaze and jyn. I have them set up to take wins on offence but I have to play it right. They NEVER hold up on defense. Get knocked to the 20s every day. It's more about synergy and how your team flows.
