I have a feeling they planned these tournaments months ago. They are just rolling out the Rogue One characters the way they planned because they couldn't get approval for anything else. I have a feeling that we will not see many tourneys after the Rogue One stuff finishes.
But then again... I though GW would be gone or reworked by now, so my input may not be reliable.
