I wouldn't mind if this was a weekly event, to be honest.
The problem is you're getting 4-5 shards from your two attempts. Considering there are 5 jawas, this is a drop in the bucket and not particularly helpful. But if it were weekly, people would have an alternate way of speeding up jawa acquisition (which is important because jawas aren't very highly sought-after. I'm very happy having all five at 7 stars and gear 9 ((none require raid gear to get to 9)), but I've been playing nearly a year now and I've got the absolutely critical characters. Were I new, I wouldn't feel very motivate to getting them right away.) and get a small amount of credits to supplement them.
All things considered, I think this event is for newer and/or lower-level players to take advantage of. Folks who have played a long time or who have spent a lot of money an still do it and get stuff, but it won't be as much and it won't be as efficient.
