EA - Thanks for ruining the experience
Unlocking a new character should be an exciting time. It comes after hours of upgrading numerous characters and time spent anticipating and planning how the new team will fit into your existing squads. However, when are the requirements are completed and it is time tackle the final challenges, the joy turns to frustration when feats are just not winnable because of shortsightedness by the developers.
I have spent hours the past two nights trying to complete Bo-Katan’s journey. The first 2 tiers were challenging. I was able to win by playing with mods, adding zetas and watching videos. That is to be expected and part of the fun to earn the new character. But then I hit Tier 3. The feats used to be challenging but now are near almost impossible. With the introduction to the game’s relic delta feature, EA decided to increase the level of the opponents from Relic 0 to Relic 7 to match the required squads- significantly increasing their stats. While I agree it would have been too easy if they stayed at R0 with relic delta, you have now created an unbeatable set of opponents when paired their original unique features. I have upgraded to R8 but still can’t win. I expect it will take a significant amount of luck to beat the squad. But I am giving up. It is not fun knowing it would take a R9 (or R10) team to have a decent chance.
I would ask your team to try the challenge. Use a R7 team with typical players loadout (not god mods or R8+). Can you beat the tier? Do you find it enjoyable? Initially you may have achieved your goals to create a challenging but fun battle when it was developed a few years ago, but recent changes have destroyed that.
My request - change it back to the original R0 opponents and turn off relic delta for the event. It would still be challenging but we would at least have a chance of winning.
