Is it possible that Nest did enough damage to wear down the protection?

Yes. That’s why I want to see if it is a bug as I don’t think it should work

I thought that maybe it was lucky crits all the time but at end it was 5v nest and she did it every time. And this included a fairly tanky g12 plo koon

Nest can't crit if Padme led GR allies have Protection Up.

At the beginning of each GR toon’s turn they dispel protection up from themselves and replace it with stacks of courage. Don’t know what the order of operations is on attack v prot up, but if the attack happens first she will deal (a lot of) damage to that toon before prot up is applied. Keep in mind that every time you gain/lose protection up nest will gain a critical damage bonus, so she can do a lot of damage against padme teams when their protection up is down.
