Era improvement idea

Eras are in a weird spot, as many probably agree with. The game is starting a new chapter but it feels like the new anniversary update is lacking. While the new era system is cool in letting people get the new thing while still investing in the old thing, the slow-burn hype and release is dreadful. My idea is to release the era characters (still within their era playfield) all at the same time, minus the legendary character. Let us tinker with them with coliseum and such from the start of the era. THEN, let us choose who to level up but still keep character specific era challenges where you need that character leveled up to earn rewards. That way, if there’s a character people want to invest in, they can from the very start but if they want rewards from the era challenges, they can still earn them by leveling up that character. The freedom of choice is an essential part of this game to me. Who will you level up next? What team are you shooting for? It’s a game of choices and decisions to me, and forcing us to build characters in order looses its hype and choices. Finally, I find the state of coliseum very dry, as many have said. Instead of just ramping up the rewards over time, take off the damage reduction, boost the health and potentially spread the rewards a little thinner while added more “tiers”. Coliseum is such a doozy for how slow it progresses and how easy it is to lock yourself behind 1 damage. As many have said, it feels like a paywall. By boosting the enemy health, you make it harder to complete a tier; by taking the damage reduction out, you reduce the paywall feel, and by spreading out rewards, you make it more likely for people to keep trying. While spreading rewards can also push people away, it would also be worth looking into saving the states of bosses between attempts. Perhaps letting us continue beating down a boss where we left them is a better alternative to the aforementioned changes, but giving us more choice and more usage out of these characters will be incredibly useful in keeping players. I think coliseum has a lot of potential but its current state is very lacking.
