Every time I open up a GW node and see Barris I'm afraid she'll be zeta'd.

Barriss zeta actually isn't that bad in GW. The problem with Barriss zeta isn't that it's impossible to beat; it's that it's difficult to beat in under 5 minutes. That makes it great in arena but GW has no time limit so you can sit there for an hour and slowly chip away, as long as your own team has sufficient health recovery. You can also send in additional teams so as long as you have a deep enough bench and are strategic about who you take out first, it isn't that bad.

I faced one of these teams a couple days ago on my 11th node and beat it on my first try with Palp (L), Vader, TFP, RG and K2.

I got bored of GW already... I hardly do it anymore.

Though for everyone who does it, if the bariss is high level (85, high gear) I would check anyway, especially node 6, 11 and 12.

Nothing in the description says is disappears at death, and other uniques persist after death. We have no reason to believe that it's bugged.
