Executor requirements - Journey guide misled me

Well, if you click on the last tier in Executor journey guide, it's clearly written that you need all the required ships at 7*.

I have a different view. For all legendary events, I have a list of different requirements. if I have fulfilled this I can play the event.

For example, I need a 5 star Finalizer for SLKR, and that's it. I don't need a 7 * in the last phase.

Same for Rey. I need a 5* Raddus , that’s all.

I have no problem with the requirements. but so they are useless and misleading.

Right. You open up journey guide and see a column of checkmarks and you think you're good to go. You shouldn't have to click each tier to check for gotchas. It's misleading.

I do agree that players can get confused with the way the new Journey Guide is laid out. The other prime example is that Rex is a requirement for the LV battles, but is not one of the prerequisites.

You need to click on the tiers to see what the requirements for each tier are, which are different than prerequisites. For example, the prerequisites for the Jedi Knight Revan Ancient Journey are just get to level 85. But just being level 85 isn't enough to play the tiers. You need specific characters.

If you absolutely cannot upgrade your ship now, my advice would be to save up as many crystals as possible for the next run. You can refresh the bonus tier 19 times at 999 crystals for extra shards, which will leave you 50 short of a 7*. You can then either wait a month or buy packs that are 1250 crystals for 10 shards. So for 25,231 crystals you can get 7* in one day.

Also, if you don't know the Malevolence + TIE fighter comp to beating Executor already, you can look that up and it can help you stay competitive in fleet arena for the next month.

Thanks crzydroid. I've been getting by with Negotiator vs 4-5-6* Executor. As of today there are many more 7* and they aren't easy to beat. I'll check out the Malevolence lineup. The events you mention were prior to the JG for me, so laid out very differently. It's just 30 days of less Fleet rewards than #1. I'll get by - just really disappointed and wish it were clearer.

Another distinction is that this event is only available for 24 hours, once a month(ish) as opposed to JG events that are always open. Missing the event because I missed a requirement buried on the last tier means waiting another month. Not so with other events. If there's a way to get 50 tie bomber shards in less than 24 hours without spending hundreds of dollars I'm all ears :)
