Sorry, not sure I understand. Do you mean that you're hoping people have a better chance of seeing multiple threads and therefore won't make another?
no there is always a lot of pushback against making merged threads (mega threads used for new content, while merge is forum posts merged into one post, slight difference but they are different terms that we try to keep that way and i wanted to be clear) and honestly we merge 70% of posts anyway, so its not really a solution.
Search is your friend is really the goal we strive for in instances like this.
