your credits have been spent on the most useful thing in the game which still has most of it's utility. 90% is an exaggeration.

A good analogy is you can easily spend that much on one character who is op before he is nerfed and complain the shouldn't nerfed that character. In this case the feedback showed that there was obvious overwhelming support for them nerfing the mods. keep in mind the two most powerful mods have not benn released.

maybe the nerf was too severe, maybe they should have given more notice. although the fact that everything happened in a few days and they warned they would be making adjustments kind of makes that a moot point. Regardless your complaints are invalid. You choose to spend millions of credits on a feature of the game that was unfinalized and by any measure you received what is now still your credit's worth.
