first order tie pilot or geonosian soldier?

I would say GS. Easier farm, easier to gear to 11, faster, more HP, hits just as hard, ships seems better.

I have both and FOTP took forever. He isn't as relevant as 6-7 months ago. I also don't notice the higher chance of assist with first order.

I never farmed GS, but actually have a 7* FOTP (took me more than 6 months). Althought he's a good dps, it's not very relevant as a character. But I found his ship to be really good. Even at gear 8 and level 75 (ship at level 70 and 5*) it's just amazing. Also, the ship is broken, it has a bug and doesn't gain the turn meter it should. When it's fixed, it will be even better. Solid doblue attack and solid target lock, good damage, pretty fast. As a character I would say GS, because it's way easier to farm, but as pilot, GS is not a rival for FOTP.

If you lead with Phasma, go with FOTP as the double attack chance doubles for First Order allies. Technically at least:)

With Phasma lead you would be better served by FOTP, but GS is an easier farm.

GS unique gives himself %50 TM on critical hit. Fill him up with crit chance mods and he is a real beast.

I have FOTP at gear 9 and he doesn't hit anywhere close to 14k on basic per tap. Is that because I don't have him at gear 11?

14k is fully modded with 216% crit damage on low Def toon. I think they're both arena obsolete but fotp's ship is much better than gs'

GS for me. Great on the rAncor raid too. Once the door is down on the rancor you get so many extra turns. And his assist often often calls QGJ or teebo for TM reduction. IMO if you don't have a great raid team GS is the easy choice.
