Fleet shipment blues

It took me most of 3 months to unlock slave 1 and almost that long to unlock scimitar, checking every refresh every day and always having the currency to purchase them. Once I unlocked them I figured I'd save all my tokens for zeta mats. Now that I'm trying to save for zetas it seems there is a slave 1 or scimitar every single refresh and of course you have to pick them up, at least I do I don't have 8 5* ships yet to unlock the challenge.

In short this game seems to make you make choices more often than you want to while you're trying to focus on one thing! Please tell me I'm not the only one that this game seems to taunt you every chance it can lol.
