Why are they not in the game? I understand that it is controversial if they are canon or not, but that's not what this thread will be about. Since there is now a growing popularity in Empire AND Rebel teams (Wiggs and EP) why would they not utilize some of the best Empire Rebel fighters that have already been shown to be popular to the gamer community. Galen Marek, Juno Eclipse, Ram Kota, Proxie, and even some of the iconic fodder enemies for both sides. Galen, Juno, and Proxie, could all count as Empire and Rebel, to possibly link the two synergies. Ram Kota would have strong synergy with Galen and possibly give him buffs and operate as the tank of the group. Galen would have an basic like Ashoka's (basically the same animation, and same utility with the health steal) and an AOE similar to EP's but not as strong so that EP would still be better. Galen wouldn't have a leader ability, and I would go as far as to say that none of these toons would have leader abilities either to promote synergy with either Empire or Rebel teams. Juno could give Galen a buff on death like Old Ben, and maybe be a FOTP type of toon. Proxie would be arguably the most interesting. At the start of the encounter he mirror copies one of your opponents toons. So say you are fighting a team with RG, Proxie could start as RG. Once you defeat Proxie as the copy, he would revive at 25% health, and maybe even up to 50% on Omega. Also when he is Proxie and not a copy he would have no attacks, just a taunt and a team heal. What do y'all think? I'd love to go more in depth but I think this start is already too long.

All tags are very carefully vetted by Lucasfilm, and they have final say (as it should be, it's their IP). We don't assign tags lightly. All tags are very carefully vetted by Lucasfilm, and they have final say (as it should be, it's their IP). Darth Sidious isn't a Separatist, even if he had some behind the scenes dealings with Dooku, he wasn't actively fighting for the Separatist cause.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Expanded universe and many of the characters from it and would love to see them added. I was simply giving my opinion as to why they have not been added yet.

People need to chill and just enjoy conversation.

@scuba was simply quoting a dev, and giving an opinion, one which I agree with. If something simple, like character tags, takes sign off from Lucasfilm; then I imaging the devs would aim for characters that would be easier to get approved. When there are so many characters from cannon who still aren't in the game, I personally see no reason for the devs to waste time and energy trying to get non-canon toons approved.

As for Scarif trooper, and other generic type toons... I imagine these are easier to get approved as well because they fill in as the standard make up of the galaxy. The alliance and empire had many soldiers who were never shown in the movies, and therefore these generic toons can be made to fill a need in the game without the rigors of defined character authenticity or representation.

FODE & BEED should be a new character! I'm not a big fan of Ep.1, but the 2-headed NASCAR announcer was ridic!!! Lol. Toss in a couple racers & that little Indian kid that pals w/ Anakin too

HK-47 is in Old Republic which is a still supported game by EA/LA/BW. Whether they consider it canon I dont know as it takes place 3600 yrs before A New Hope. Pretty safe it wont step on any toes in current canon.

My understanding was Scarif was the first from Rogue One...am I mistaken on that?

Either way...Force Unleashed is no longer canon and far too close to the current stories I think for them to consider the characters...and really it wasnt that good anyways.

As someone said...far more other characters not in canon that would be more worthy of being added. Ie: Kyle Katarn

Apparently Scarif is one of the planets in Rogue One, so it is (going to be) canon :)
