I wrote up a monster of a post on freemium games and I'm undecided to if I actually want to post it, so maybe I'll just dovetail in on this post. Rather than drop my thousand word essay here, the folks at Extra Credit's have done some great episodes on the free to play model and microtransactions, and honestly they say everything I want to say in a much more accessible manner than I could.
