Correct, they did mention it in change notes. Maybe "stealthy" should be "unobtrusively", but I am referring to the change being made with no notice, no players clamoring for such a change, and no communication other than the change was made. If you didn't read the entire list of changes in the last update, you would have missed it (as at least one person here has admitted).
It was the fourth item in the list, with a bolded title line. Not sure how you could miss it. It wasn't stealthy, or unobtrusive, or without notice. And it's irrelevant that players didn't ask for it, because they make changes all the time that we didn't ask for.
Regardless, it doesn't really change rewards as much as people think it does, so it's not really an issue.
It may not be an issue for you, but it is for others.
Imho there are 2 reasons why:
1. CG said that you wouldn't fight people from other divisions anymore, yet with this change this is exactly what happens.
2. Of course it changes the rewards. The dailies aswell as the win rewards after each fight. I will not go further into detail about this, because I already did on another thread and I would like to keep this on topic here. ?
1. What does it matter? You were in the same division when you were matched.
2. I didn't say it didn't, I said it didn't change enough to be an issue. Dailies are obvious, and minimal. Round rewards are based on division you started the round in, and event rewards based on the division when the event started.
The rewards after a fight in the same bracket are based on the division you completed the fight in.
If you got relegated after a fight and win, the rewards is from that Division.
For you it might be not much but think about people in lower leagues. They already get a lot less than people in Kyber.
Less daylies plus less rewards for a win might be one more refresh they could make.
Also, I still think it is unfair to have people in the same bracket fight each other yet give them different rewards for a win if one had the bad luck of being relegated while in that bracket.
If I start in K1 and I lose and get relegated to K2, I get K1 loss rewards. If I start in K2 and win and get promoted to K1, I get K2 win rewards. So I think we are saying the same thing here, and to me this setup makes sense.
The dailies different from K1 to K2 is 20 crystals. Not sure how that's a lot at any level? And what other people get affect me not at all, so I still don't understand how that comes into anything.
Well you could start in the same division as a player (that you will get in the next GAC), get relegated after your first match, win your next 2 and get promoted at the end of the GAC.
That would be 80 crystals different? Just off of one match. This change was just plain daft.
If you got relegated after losing the 1st match, you would regain those points with the 2nd match win and be promoted again. You wouldn't stay down. (Well, technical your win would be worth 1 less point so you could stay down if you're super unlucky.)
Anyway, yes it is possible to have fluctuations of 20-100 crystals based on luck. But it will all average out eventually. I don't even think most people would notice.
