- The problem is that they didn’t change the times, not that they did change it. UTC is merely an internationally accepted date/time format. If the servers are located anywhere in the US, their timestamps changed when US DST went into effect, but the run times didn’t.
And on the original topic I agree that an in game notice would be extremely helpful for international accounts. - scuba75Rising TravelerSeason 37 start and stop times based on epoch from the game

So this entire round of 3 started an hour earlier (which is weird since they don't normally switch the times) but still had 24 hours per each phase.
Looking back at last year this it the normal, so I take it back they do switch some stuff for DST, i never really pay attention and just get shit done instead of waiting till the last minute so i probably never noticed it.
2022 DST in the USA was Mar 13 thru Nov 6
here are some start times of GAC during and after DST last year

So as @TVF said it has been happening before, it will happen again
So PSA on Nov 5 the US exits from Daylight savings time and it will shift an hour again if your area has not left daylight savings time on the same day.
Looking at the events data this will change the time of events like GAC, assault battles, conquest, galactic challenges (stuff on the monthly schedule)
Also shows how.... nvm don't want another forum warning from a mod. "TVF;c-2411617" wrote:
It happens twice a year every year, just like I said. Dunno why people keep acting like this is new.
Because as said before, there -are- new players. Dunno why people keep forgetting this.
Also, as already stated, if you have the time change at a different time and that is what you know, you can't always remember, know or have in mind something from somewhere else. I am pretty sure even some Americans whom live there have it happen to them that they forget about it or they don't have it on their radar. I know it happens here where I live to people when we have ours.
On top of that, if the time change would be at a -different- day than the one they are familiar with, I am pretty sure lots of american players would have the same problems in game.

Because you were not affected, others were.
I still see no problem in trying to raise a fair request. If there would be an ingame message, it would in no way diminish or worsen anyone's playing experience but would actually help the international community.- scuba75Rising Traveler

It actually won't affect USA, at least those that observes DST. We will see the events stay at the same times 1700 Eastern for ga
I think you misunderstood me. I meant if the changes would be on a different day than it is in the US. For example if CG would be a german company and they would use our time, some of the US players would have the same problems like the non US players had. And I didn't mean that the players in the US were affected just that I am sure even US people forgot about it in general. When we have our time changes in Germany at least one person I know doesn't have it in mind and forgets it and I am sure this happens to Americans aswell. So if people can forget it/not have it in mind whom live in that same country, I think it is even more understandable if someone not from that country knows/forgets when it is, especially if it is a different date.
Gotcha - scuba75Rising TravelerHere is the number 1 solution to it all. Don't wait till the last 2 hours to attack or set defense.

Funny that players cant keep track of all their time changes but they want a company to keep track of all the time changes for everyone all around the world.
No, the request is for CG to announce when they change the time, not to remind players of whatever local changes they are making to their own clock.
I love seeing TVF being nice and constructive here with the constant “you need to set calendar reminders for US time changes to not be caught out in a mobile game”.
Nobody claim this is new behaviour, some of us just would like a tiny change.
Somewhat similar to the request that CG don’t start galactic chase in a manner that screws non-US players out of several hours of it…. - winterwolvesRising ScoutUS Pacific daylight savings time change. It only affects a few things in the game. GAC start time is one of them.

It also started at the habitual time. But it ended early.
Yes because their clock moved one hour ahead at 2am.- ScreeriderNew AdventurerIt doesn't effect GAC time if you're also doing the daylight saving time thing. :)
