GAC Division Placing

I was at about 2,000,2000 GP prior to this GA starting, with the idea that I’d take mods off some characters before the start to stay in Div 6 instead of 5. It hasn’t started yet but it says I’m in division 5 even after moving back down to <2 mil GP just now. Am I just stuck in Division 6 now regardless of what I do?

    Yes. Division placement looks at highest GP your account has accumulated in the game's lifetime not your current GP

    The GAC launched 45 minutes ago, and joining opens in 15 minutes. You would needed to have been below the threshold for Division Five before the tournament launched. You are stuck in that division now for the full four weeks.
