Or at least add a "are you sure?" option. It's second nature to just hit the GAC icon and then the "enter" button as soon as you bring up the game.

Maybe for you. It’s honestly not that hard to ignore the button, especially if you know the programmed behaviour.
Does the UI suck? Sure. But it’s easy to work around the bad things of it.

This is literally one of the MOST requested QOL changes requested by the community. Just because it doesn't bother you doesn't mean everyone should be just like you. Believe it or not, people are different than you. I know it's a hard realization to grapple with.

Put effort elsewhere? Brother, I'm not asking them to create an Exogal raid here or a new TB. I'm literally asking them to add the ability to leave and rejoin GAC. One dev could probably do this while drinking his morning coffee one morning. Literally.

How do you know how complicated of a job it is? Have you looked over the code? I haven’t seen it but based off previous statements it sure sounds like their code is a mess. I’ve had many tasks over the years I thought would be a breeze until I actually dug into the code/SQL/formulas that other folks wrote. Unless you work for CG I don’t think you’re in a position to pontificate on the LOE.

I would rather have them working on a new raid or some cool new content like a sandbox mode or some fun events to play than redirect their resources to work on adding a pop up warning. But since the raid and new content got dropped for new exciting things that we dont know anything about maybe they have time to work this in their schedule...

Well, I tend to disagree here. I also caught myself hitting the button many times and mistakenly joined the next round. Ignoring the button is not easy, especially because the programmed behavior is counter-intuitive.

Btw. I'm using the German language version of the game. The German word for "Enter" (Betreten) and "Join" (Beitreten) are so close making mis-clicking even more likely. But that's just for the record. The main problem is the following:

Usually the first thing I do in the morning (I'm at UTC+8) after a GAC battle day is completed, I go into GAC and I check if I won or not.

So imaging doing this result checking activity for two consecutive battles. That slowly builds up a habit. But after you completed the third battle, the system behavior changed. The game directly closes down the week and instantly move on to the next week's prep phase.

Now, you got up in the morning, log-on to the game and intuitively go to GAC to check the result of the third battle. BOOM! You found yourself already joined the next week's prep. That's the actual problem.

I think either they add a warning pop-up or allow you to rejoin TW-like as suggested, or they add a break-day between each GAC week, so we can review our ranking of the past week (and brag about achieving first place), like they currently do at the end of each GAC season. That would at least minimize the possibility of a misclick.

Lotta folks on here who just like to worship CG for no apparent reason. I'd use a more vulgar description for what it looks like but I prefer to just not get the warning. You get the idea.

Anyone can realizes this is a relatively simple, overwhelmingly desired, and uncontroversial change.

It'd be one thing if I was asking for, let's say, a change to the difficulty of a raid. Or a nerf to a toon. Then I could understand all the people jumping in to CG's defense for not acting on my request.

But in this case, if CG does what I'm asking, NOBODY will complain about it. Nobody.

Additionally, an overwhelming number of players agree with me that this QOL change is needed.

And yet, some will still LEAP to CG's defense in this case. Just cuz.
