The old feat system was tied to the ranking system and gives out extra banners. Thus there was a pressure to complete the feats. I'm not suggesting to introduce a similar feat mechanism for getting more skill points. The idea is more to get some additional "trophies" by accomplishing certain tasks, no pressure involved and not tied to the existing crystal rewards at all.
