I just decided not to buy the Aphra bundle. This game is really well-designed to make you feel like your roster hit a wall and is going nowhere, and spending some $ like on a $50 bundle is going to move the needle. All of these posts about unfairness causing losing are basically purposeful instances of the developers doing this. The developers know full-well that 9 GL 12 million GP accounts moving to Aurodium and Chromium is basically the Southpark episode of the steroidal male bodybuilder calling himself trans and competing in all of the women's sports. Or even more of an apt comparison would be Stephen Curry taking a season off from the NBA to go play high school basketball.
Why does CG allow these things? They foster frustration within the gamer and they know there are only 3 ways to deal with jt:
- eat your frustration and enjoy what you can out of the game.
- quit playing
- pay-up $ to improve your roster until you hit another wall, in which case it's more $ needed or
- eat your frustration and enjoy.....
- quit....
- pay-up $... cycle continues.
The most recent game update was designed to answer the question: how can we get more players to hit walls and get them to be frustrated into paying $ more?
