Love the idea of this. It baffled me when they went down the road of Hondo for a GL. I mean sure he's a fun character but I'd hardly say he's a GL when we have Han, Chewie, Jedi Luke, Darth Vader (Think Rogue one) all without a GL character representation. IMO Jedi Knight Luke should be a GL not a Journey character. Having something like this Han and Chewie GL would be most welcome.

Remember that the concept of SWGOH is that we're cantina customers playing a holotable game. The Legend part of GL is about how famous they are and how much the stories hype them. The concept isn't "Galaxy's Most Powerful".
If you understand that, you can understand that if you pay the right PR firm enough money (read: $Billions) and talk yourself up a lot, you, too, could be a "Galactic Legend". It's not unlike how action movie actors are often thought of as bad @$$es even though making an action film and knowing how to fight (and having the courage to do so) are very separate things.
Who, in all the SW galaxy that we know of, is more likely to constantly hype himself through every available avenue?

If you understand the concept of the game and think on that meta level, it makes perfect sense that modest Yoda isn't a GL and PKHO is.
Hmmm you make a very good point. I must admit I have always personally viewed GLs more as Star Wars' legendary characters (Yoda, Vader, Luke etc) and not that in the Star Wars lore it's how far the "Legend" of a certain character precedes them. In which case they all make sense now (perhaps not Ahsoka though... still not sure about that one)
I also see that the devs are seemingly aiming the GL's as one per faction type (and sub types, thinking Jabba), and as such there would be no bigger Pirate legend out there than Hondo.With that in mind, perhaps the OP's kit could actually be a great Merc and/or Scoundrel GL. Hans "Legend" surely warrants this status. I mean after all, he did complete the Kessel run in less than 12 Parsecs you know!
Fully agree that Han would be "legendary" in the SW universe.
It balances because JML is hardly a GL most of the time. 😂
