Why? Without Rebels, Star Wars would never exist. We would only have The Empire, Vader would be completely bored but he'd be alive. The Empire would be thriving across the galaxy just having to put some Hutts in line every once in a while.
Rebels are the focus of 4 of the 8 movies.
Who is the character that appeared in all the first 7 movies and is mentioned in the 8th?Hint, he sure isn't a rebel.
No matter what anybody say SW was never about the rebels, it was a modern saga about the Skywalker family, about the fight between light and dark ( jedi vs sith, rebels vs empire, resistance vs FO)
Anyway even if the rebellion would have been the focal point of SW, though it wasn't, this is still a game. And when the people that make this game announced in several different occasions the pass, when it was literally said "The empire will rise" players believed them, so they invested in that faction. And when the only good toons that came out of that pass were actually from a different faction, the strongest faction as it were, the faction the Empire needed help against in the first place, then apologies is at least what people that believed them should receive.
