I only want ship hardware if it's less rng than toon mods. I prefer how it currently is with who has the better ship depends on who has the better crew.
Arena pvp can be a bummer when who wins depends on who got the better mod rng if all other things are equal. Fleet arena feels more fair where, if all things are equal, it comes down to inherent game mechanic rng & your offensive strategy.
I also think before they add new gear they really need to sort the bottleneck from g8-g11. A new gear level is great for top tier players but for the rest of us the bottleneck is pretty intense (especially when raid rewards don't give you the raid exclusive gear). Adding new gear without addressing the current bottlenecks will just make entry even more difficult for new players and add just another aggrivating grind for midrange veterans.
