Gear 13 impact on ships

Do we have any volunteers to g13 a pilot? lol

I'm sure a G13 Thrawn, Vader, Bossk, Han/Chewie will be very beneficial for the character and the ship.

It is my suspicion that G13 itself will add an addition speed point to the ship, per G13 pilot. I have no proof, my only reference is comparing how 2 G12 pieces or 2 6-dot mods would apply an additional speed point (if I’m not mistaken. I forget if G12+ has different values for + speed in ships, and what the exact formula is for “maximum ship speed”)

Bossk is halfway to g13, and since he is my favorite character in the game so far, he will be my first g13.

Since it only adds 210 GP, the effect will be pretty minimal. The only time it'd matter would be for a very fast ship to gain +1 speed and avoid a coin toss "who goes first" situation in mirror matches (which can mean the difference between winning and losing).

I thought the ships had a maximum value, where adding a 6* mod or more gear didn’t actually change anything? I’m sure I hit that wall with thrawn and with the falcon..

If devs don't change anything in translation pilots power to ships power then impact will be much less than for characters. Finisher piece will raise ship stats but not by great margin. And gear level by itself (i.e. pushing upgrade button after putting finisher piece) won't affect ship at all.

Since changes probably will be very small and very close for all ships it shouldn't change overall ships power balance in any way. But at least some G13 ships could get additional speed point which certainly can give advantage over similar g12 fleets.

Whoever said 1 speed was spot on. It also added about 1k health, 1k protection and .5% potency

I did han and should have chewie tonight. Hopefully the hp/protection is enough to prevent the bistan first turn burst. ATM it’s 50/50 whether I barely survive or not. Win or lose comes down to that one exchange so it’s worth 2 g13’s imo. Plus it’s Han/chew, they have to be maxed

Guildie did g13 Anakin. He said stats went up around .5% and speed didn’t go up at all.
