Gearing B2 to 9 or saving gears for others?

Hi all :)

I have finally managed to get enough gear to be able to get B2 to gear 9.
(I can't do it yet as I need more credits to level him up)
However, as usual, 2 of the gears are pretty hard to get and also needed by a few other key toons (Boba, Wiggs, Sun Fac).
Should I get him to gear 9 or keep these gears to advanced another toon who would still need more gear to reach the next level?
