Gen. Skywalker or Jedi Knight Anakin Update Incoming?
It’s been over a month since the 501st were updated. They are currently a four person team, but still no word on what will be coming to make them a complete team. What would the 501st be without the leader of the 501st, Anakin Skywalker?
Some suspect there will be a new General Skywalker character introduced to the game. I’m not so sure. Not with The Mandelorian & TROS set to introduce many new characters very soon - The Knights of Ren, to name one group. That’s likely taken a lot of development time to be ready by November, when The Mandelorian begins. I strongly suspect we will see an update to Jedi Knight Anakin (JKA). We can see hints to that in that Ahsoka Tano being given the 501st tag, and the recent change to the Advantage buff. JKA’s leadership gives two turns of advantage to any Jedi or Clone who’s attack was evaded.
Currently, the Clones are far better than they were, but still very beatable. If Fives has his newest zeta, you really don’t want to take down any other 501st until Fives. It’s not hard. However, if JKA is on the team, even weakening Fives would call JKA’s bonus action for mass AOE. The 501st in SWGOH currently consists of Clones and one Jedi. Capital Games really seems to want us to use Ahsoka with the 501st. Teamed with JKA boosts Ahsoka’s speed and attacks.
Some point to Shaak Ti, because she’s great with Clones. Yet she has no Clone or 501st tag, nor any reason she should have one.
I suspect we will see JKA get a 501st tag, and possibly a new 501st unique that comes with a new zeta. What that new unique could be, I have no idea. Who could have imagined Rex would become a soft Nihilus?
Grievous, Fives, Ventress, and Brood Alpha are all non-event characters with two zetas. I just find it odd that JKA, the Chosen One, is a one zeta character. His zeta is more of a buff to Padme, than to JKA. He should have a second zeta.
