GL gating a new event?

I know I’ll get Jabba in good time, but I am also not fretting I may be missing out on extra rewards in the meantime

No, this event is for people like me who were already in the process of putting in the effort to get Jabba and now get a little something extra on top.

Obviously if you were never going to get Jabba, you could get all these materials for less investment from other sources, so you won't lose out on anything. I'm investing those materials and I'll get quite a bit back, I think, and these things weren't even in the calculation.

But I'll gladly take them, and value them. They're not terrible unless you're considering them to be the only thing you gain from the effort to acquire Jabba. But if you do consider them the only Jabba-rewards you're really, really not seeing the big picture.

Can you do a TL DR for us thickos who can't read such lengthy dissertations.

Jabba is going to be needed for a lot of things. It's for you to decide on the RoI.

That's a smaller Seedy post. I read all of them that I come across - even the very, very, very long ones because they're always well written and well informed opinions, even if I don't always agree.

It's a completely new event that didn't exist two days ago. The only thing that's changed is that there's now a brand new event that you're gated from because you don't have the required characters. This has ALWAYS been a thing in this game - after playing for 5 years it shouldn't be a surprise.

Seriously folks, THEY'RE ADDING CONTENT! That's a good thing! I really hope the trend continues because I enjoy playing the content in the game - even if I can't play all the content the day it comes out. That too has ALWAYS been a thing in this game. It's fine.

Unless the char/ship has something to do with Hutt Cartel, otherwise those feats are passable and still gives you red box, just like inquisitor feats this time.

When will everyone get Jabba the Hutt for free to all players? 2 characters are not yet available for free farming.

I'm working on Jabba right now, mainly locked behind the marquees, but I don't mind as it gives me time to farm more of the gear and relic materials I need later on.

As for the event, I think it's good that those who were willing to spend will get something back in return. Outside of conquest and galactic challenge changes, there wasn't really any new content until the new AB so I think it's a step in the right direction. Besides, the old smugglers run event is so dull I don't always bother with it, so I'm looking forward to the Jabba tier lol.
