Having said that, I can guarantee I have spent more money on this game than 99% of the player base. The majority of those people who are playing legitimately with 1 character tied to 1 guild cannot be happy about this. I am definitely not.
I will not be putting another dime into this game until a corrective action is taken. If the Devs decide they won't take any corrective action then great. You will lose whales and casuals alike. You will have 100 whales upset for every single exploiting whale that is happy.
I would encourage guild chat to be monitored. There are a ton of players not happy about this... I am pretty sure we have lost at least two, one super whale, when they heard about this. They just quit playing.

Read this @CG_JohnSalera For me it just means seriously reducing resource use (purples) at a time I was very excited for this game. You are literally thumbing your nose at every single person in this player base who has worked hard to build a cool roster. Why let @CG_NotReallyAJedi get burned at the stake here last night (sorry if anyone missed it. I screenshotted a lot of it). Not his fault.

This "mechanic" delivers the best loot and rewards and credits the game has. Based on this games' economy one raid top ten heroic is 1000 guild, 40/50 unobtainable or full unobtainable and 7-10 Han shards and 500k credits. One raid reward top 10 is worth by my calculations usd $35. With I suspect some whales willing to pay $50 for one pack with these items. Imagine 13 extra or more.
Your paying happy one-guild customers are rankled. We are not happy. Vast majority very unhappy watching this transpire. Fix it like you did raid rewards and Poe and dodge (oh wait fix that too).

Great comments that summed up my feelings, and many of my guild mates. I was on pace to spending $100-200 per month. Not near a whale, but a decent amount. Not spending a penny more until we get some official word on if this will allowed to continue. If it is, I'm out. I have no desire to guild hop and I can't keep up if that is my decision.
I don't think it's cheating. It's bad game design and needs to be fixed.

I too am not spending anymore and I was at where you were, spending wise. Im not going to quit overnight but I also am not going to spend anymore because I can't compete with guild hoppers no matter what I spend. I imagine my interest will slowly go towards other games.
Didn't one come out just yesterday actually? I may get it after all.
You wouldn't be the only one but i suggest giving it a week when the adults return from vacation and have sometime to review what's been going on. It is a holiday weekend so nothing will happen in short term.
