I cleared all nodes without losing any characters or having to use suicide squads. I had to retreat about 4 or 5 times, but didn't need to make any substitutions just changed my kill order or tactics. This was my 43rd GW clear, I haven't lost a GW since December. I'm currently ranked 108 in Arena on my server and I almost always do my GW between Midnight reset and 6am CST. I feel like the last few days or so GW has been getting easier for me, and I have been getting very favorable matchmaking.

Wow, I WISH I could get a run like that. I'm the same level as you, and yesterday I had a level 65 opponent on my second node.I got all the way up to node 8, and faced a full level 70 squad, all 7 stars, all level 8 gear. It was ridiculous. I had four more nodes to go and I was already going up against what is basically a fully maxed out team.I don't know how the heck they calculate their matchmaking algorythm (sp) but it sure doesn't like me.

It's interesting, cause yesterday I had a harder match than the OP (still won it but lost about 5 toons) but today I got a similar chart from first to last battle, lost no toons on my A team AND retreated 3 times only. Really curious to how RNG for teams in GW works.

I was on a streak of about 20 in a row, but today looks like it will do me in. I typically retreat only once or twice to finish but today battle 10 was really tough with Level 70 Rey, Sidious/Kylo Level 68 and I can't remember the other 2 toons. I got through at the end with pretty solid health but allowed one last AoE that took everybody back to about 90% health (a couple to 70%). I should've retreated but I thought I was invincible. :)

Battle 11 is Poe, Kylo, Sidious, Dooku, IG-86 (he really could just stand there, as the other 4 are all that's needed). I have run every combo I have at them and I have no shot. No heals available after the first round of fighting so I'm screwed. Poe is the reason. My Poe is not stout enough to counter.

Is there a guide to GW that shows how match ups are created? I have two accounts and my main account I'm at lv 66 and usually ranked 500-700 in PvP. My other phone account is lv57 and in the 1600-2000 PvP rank. My alt account GW starts my opponents in the mid 30's and tops off about 47-49 in node 9-10. I've cleared it 9 times in the last two weeks. My main account starts me at lv57+ and I generally only make it past node 6-7. I'd have to dump weeks worth of droids/credits into my B toons to make it past GW on that account. Is it worth it?

It's because OP only has 3 7* characters. Get 5+ 7*s and you'll see some real fights. In the meantime, there's no need to paste these easy fights into the forum.

A dev confirmed on Reddit that your GW match-ups are based on two things: your highest rank EVER in arena and your highest power rated squad out of your total characters.
So investing in your A squad will increase your GW difficulty. If you are more interested in GW rewards than Arena rewards, I would invest in your B characters.
I invest more in winning GW than Arena because you get more shards (16 from GW vs max of 12.5 from Arena for finishing 1st), plus credits, training droids, and ability mats. You can get more crystals from Arena (which can be converted into the other resources), but they scale very slowly as you move up in ranks.
I have 3 B characters who I keep a few levels behind my A squad. They help tremendously in GW, plus they round out my LS and DS teams. Over time, you'll be able to do better in arena if you maximize your rewards from GW.

I wish I would have screenshot my GW last night. Took me 2 hours, had to retreat at least 50x, used 2 suicide squads, lost 18 toons. The last 5 nodes were all whales: my #9 node was lvl 70 FoTP, GS, Poe, Sid and Lumi. All 7* but FoTP at 6. 10 battle was lvl 70 Lumi kylo Sid QGJ and Poe all 7*, 11 was lvl 70 Sid Lumi Poggle GS QGJ all 7*

With that said, I love the new global war. It is a legit challenge and the best place to test new characters and strategy. I honestly hope they don't tinker with it too much!!
