What speed is your EP at? Mine is 180 and I couldn't quite get this to work in normal. We've never tried heroic yet.
It's very hard in normal because th adds are too easy to kill.
Maybe turn EP down some? Stay away from Offense Mods and focus on Potency and Speed.
For normal I run potency and crit chance on EP. If he crits w/o any additional crit damage he won't kill the wimpy battledroids, but it'll take em right to 1 hp after shock. You just need good rng to get them all shocked on the first try otherwise you need to retreat and re-try. Having crit chance triangle actually helps a ton for overall DPS.
Yeuppers! I run a Crit Chance Offense Triangle on him. I hit crit with him about every 4th and 5th hit. Maybe I'm wrong here, but too much damage and the TM replenishes rather quickly on the boss. It's a fine balancing act.
