Health/Life Steal in New Update

So it definitely looks like health/lifesteal is working in the new update. Was using Darth Maul and was getting a pretty significant boost during GW. My question is, other than the great http://www.swgohcantina.com/ website, is there anywhere in the game to see who has health/life steal and what amount given the level you are at? I know some gear will list it, but for Maul for example, none of his current gear (I'm at gear level VII) appears to have it, yet I'm definitely seeing it.

Also, it appears the health steal also works even if you are immune from healing. Can someone else confirm that?
