Imo it should’ve been the Hondo we know and love from the Clone Wars, not wherever they found the Hondo in the game… coulda had a magnaguard electrostaff when he fought Ahsoka and an AOE from a pirate tank.
Disney owns Star Wars, we got the Disney version of Hondo that is at their parks. Deal with it. - Calgacus66Rising NoviceThis is generational. I happen to quite like Hondo as a character (but mainly because so much of the Star Wars characters are drawn so 2 dimensionally morally that a bit of nuance goes a long way - however I feel I’m probably leaning towards the TVF camp in that I consider anything produced after 1983 to be fan fiction (yes even if it was produced by George- he was his own biggest fan)

It’s a hop and a skip from not having seen CW - maybe not close but closer on the continuum from OT to every obscure comic and game - I’m the same, at least in the opinion that everything for a few decades after the OT was just a cash grab. The prequels were bad storytelling, and ruined my ability to care about anything canon before the OT. Basically they seemed slapped together and ignored or retconned canon, even their own. The sequels were much better from a story perspective, but still had problems with canon and IMO an entire hour of screen time in the 9th that could have been cut without affecting the story at all.
That isn’t to say that some of the new stuff isn’t entertaining, like Andor, which is awesome. I like the direction Disney is taking in moving away from the Skywalkers. "Salatious_Scrum;c-2397686" wrote:

Some of us don't care about Hondo at all, and in fact never heard of Hondo before SWGOH...
Then I take it you’ve never seen the Clone Wars in its entirety? There are a whole bunch of characters you’d have missed. Hondo was first introduced way back in ‘09
Watched the first episode 3 times. So cringe could never get into it."Wed_Santa;c-2397812" wrote:

"Anything produced after 1983" includes a ton of stuff, some of which I really enjoy - TFA, TLJ, Mando, Kenobi, Andor....so no, it's not a hop and a skip from not having seen CW, it's a massing leap that has nothing to do with what I said.- *massive
- Anyway none of this is really relevant to OP's question so I'm moving on.
