How do you know the last part, i.e. speed upgrades at least once??"Darth_Julienus1;c-1107186" wrote:

It's an expensive gamble that really adds up if you want to take the chance.
Also after getting over 1000+ mods with a good majority of that being gray mods, I think only once maybe twice I was able to level up a gray 5 dot mod to something with double digit speed secondaries. I don't want to blow credits based on those odds. But that might not even be the case because I don't think you can get gray mods that high to begin with (so maybe I was thinking of another color mod that I didn't see any speed primaries off the bat, it was so long ago since I honestly only just buy mods outright now for the most part).- If you are desperate for speed and are wondering if any of your greys have a hidden speed secondary, then you may as well bump it all the way up to 12. The first 12 levels of a 5* cost about 120k, while the last 3 cost 360k. But the most speed you will get out of it is +5 if it is grey to start with.
If you have a green L1 mod with a speed secondary showing, you are guaranteed to get a speed boost to finish somewhere around 6-10. Level up to 3 to see the final speed.
If you have a blue L1 mod with a speed secondary showing, you might get a speed boost or even two. Level up to 6 to see the final speed.
For a purple L1 mod with speed, level up to 9 to see the final speed.
For a gold L1, level up to 12. - Do you upgrade a 3 or 4 gold if speed is a secondary stat?
- Don't ever upgrade grey ones hunting for speed. Especially with 100% drop rates now.

It depends on the primary stat the 3 or 4 dot mod has, if it's offense square or a protection circle, it's not really worth it since you lose out on the primary % up, but sometimes I find great speed secondaries on lower dot mods... I have a few at 10+ speed on 3 or 4 dot mods, but I only put them on toons that need the speed and maybe the match set. If they have a ship, then the lower dot mods can hurt your ship's crew stats.- Sell mods? They are worth nothing. If they gave half as much as you put in maybe but the conversion isn't worth it
