How much money do people spend in swgoh?

That's a very weird arena team. Makes no sense at all. It's also weird that he has completed only 5 raids but has those toons 7*.

Oh, and about your main question. I know FTP who have never spent a dime and get #1 everyday and I've seen whales in the top 50. It all depends on how, when and which toons you choose to develop.

The day HAAT raids came out was the same day that same raid gear became available for purchase. If your willing to spend the money you can get everything you want...except for zetas of course by simply skipping raids all together and just spending.

You have to take into account that the guy in question, on the screenshot posted by OP, is level 70.
In that case, to have Grievous 7*, the spending has to be ridicoulosly high I think. He can not really have much income of shard shop currency from overfarming / overpurchasing shards in F2P locations, only from chromiums, and to achieve that, he has to have all chromiums maxed - or maybe one of the character-specific packs, if there is no limit on them but even that way, its excessive for a game he just started playing (and I reckon he is a new player, not a restarter, becuase his team is kind of meh in terms of synergy and capabilities).
Im not counting further forward than that (as F2P, maybe I would not be able to even if I wanted), but its just astounds me how brainlessly some people can ditch out money.

What does it matter, I know people who have spent thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars for different kinds of games. They've got the money, so they choose to do it. If anything swgoh is one of the few games where you can be f2p and still beat big spenders.
