That's if you are already at a state where you are maxed out toons and can spare the use of cantina tokens. For more st who are still building the opportunity cost will be high. If you are already maxed out on your essential toons this is the only logical route to take for sure.
Also 2-3 cantina refreshes a day and FTP don't really match.
I get around 600 creds a day, but with guild shop currency I'm still buying Echo, Luke and an occassional full item. Going to start saving them soon.
Fleet shop currency goes to ships, Chirrut, gear and zeta.
Diversity is EAs way of making you wanting to pay them money for something. I find it more beneficial to just build up a viable team first and then branch out once I'm not spending everything I get on those 5-7 characters. There are still some events I can't take part in because I don't have the right characters or the right star levels, but oh well, I play 100% free so I don't complaint.
