In my guild we have a select few (myself included) that run dark side in arena. I started a year ago and run a Zaul sith team. However, the recent return of CLS and the addition of Rey 2.0 has plunged our dark side into a pickle. So we abandon our current arena squads and go meta or fight the good fight?
The depth of variety in the light side is where we fall. It's extremely hard to whittle down toons that buff, debuff and general smash you in a few hits. Myself and my Empire running guild mate have seen our teams lose to gear 8 CLS, Ezra, Chirrut and a band of under geared rebels. It's disheartening and throws a section of the player base into disarray.
The Sith idea is fantastic. A rule of two. Finally putting Shore and Death into the fleet store one year later would help a little in giving us a chance to progress. The numbers show the quantity difference between both sides but the quality (lack of in comparison) is the biggest issue.
The Solo Movie comes in May and we still have TLJ toons to join the game. But that leaves several baron months. I call for this:
Don't add new dark side characters for quantity, but ensure that quality is the main objective. After giving CLS a spin I see why he's regarded as the top toon. That kind of calibre is needed to level the playing field and bring even more diversity to arena squads.
