only characters currently in the GOH game ;) so no obi wan but I'd rank him higher myself.
Also, watch episode 7! :o
Moa ... they need to add the missing ones!!
The hardest struggle are the position 2-4 on light side ... Obi Wan beats Anakin, but Anakin is the chosen one and was able to control the son and the daughter (what Obi Wan for sure were not able to). Mace Windu has almost beaten Sidious, even if im not sure, if Sidious lost with intent to force Anakin to switch to the dark side. So many ppl say Windu were stronger than Sidious, but was it really that way? Yoda were not able to beat Sidious, so how comes, Windu were able to?
I also struggle between Asajj and Opress ... in CloneWars, while Opress was with Maul, they were stronger than Asajj with Obi Wan together. On the other side Asajj was able to keep Anakin and Obi Wan at distance, while Anakin was able to defeat Dooku. Asajj could not beat Dooku ... Ahsoka, the young Padawan, got simply kidnapped by Cad Bane, but gave Asajj as well as General Grievous a hard fight ... really hard to rank them ... :)
I don't think we're ranking only on fighting ability? Otherwise I'd definitely put Windu as no1, I don't think there was anything faked from sidious when Windu beat him. What an epic battle it was. And obi wan vs anakin.
If anything the prequels must be applauded for the fight scenes
He didn't beat him. After fighting him with 3other Jedi in a 4v1 battle where Sid killed 3 of them, Sid pushed forward and Mace was retreating fighting backwards. He got lucky that Sid slipped with the broken glass. Then he started to lightning Mace, and bluffed his way into Anakin's mind ("I'm too weaaaakk...." while looking to Anakin sideways).
Sid pressed the whole combat while the aggressive style Vapaad master retreated and fought backwards in the corridor from Chanciller's room. That was AFTER Sid killed Kit Fisto while both Kit and Maced flanked him in a 2v1 battle they could not capitalize into an adventage after Sid killed 2 other Jedi Masters in his first two moves
Mace had him down and disarmed before anakin got in to the room. Now Sid may well have been ready to fry him but it looked to me that Mace had a very real advantage.
Yes, after Sid slipped with the broken window. Sid had the adventage for all combat, then they break the glass, and a bit later Sid falls. I would say Mace was lucky at the end and had Sid in a vulnerable possition and could had defeated him right there, but even then, an unarmed Palpatine is still dangerous. And for 90% of the combat, Sid had the upper hand. He killed 2 council members before Mace winked and a third while he was parrying Mace attacks. Then pushed him the whole corridor. Mace had the upper hand for 10% of the scene, and that's not counting the fact that Sid could Force Push him out of the window but choose to play the bluff card to attract Anakin.
