I have a complaint about GAC.

Experiencing the same.  My opponents are all 16k-14k this round and very active.  All the explanations provided suffice and are more than likely true.  It’s infuriating and frustrating to hit a wall like this because of programming.  I’ll just sit in the corner with my crayons….

So the working theory is that players who should be higher aren't.

It happens too often. A couple of 0-3 brackets sees a player drop 240 points or thereabouts. With the squish on top of that, Kyber players can descend the ranks too quickly, 

If I had a SR 500 higher than you, I don’t think that it should be even close to possible that our skill rating is roughly the same 6 rounds later.

I think he meant 'hard'.  In Kyber, the squish is way out of balance, which means that Kyber players are falling out of the league like a meteor shower.  Those of you in Aurodium have little to no chance of climbing right now.  I'm unsure, but possibly the squish balance is out in Aurodium too.

So this is in A3, right?  What's the average GP for a player in A3 now?  If you asked me to guess (knowing absolutely nothing about A3) I'd say it's around 11 million?  That said, when the new GAC started, A3 was my starting division and I'm now 14 million.

I was at one point at the very top of K2 for a fairly long time.  Now, due to the changes in the last year and the absolutely barmy squish I'm low K3.  So,  I wonder what level of opponent you would expect to see in A3.  What we do know is it'll get harder and harder until CG gets there finger out and sorts out the issues.

You also have to factor in that there's a lot of instability with league promotions and relegations.  It's possible to get relegated from K5 and go to A3 (I did it).  So, there must be quite a variance in Skill/roster power in the division.  It probably doesn't take much inactivity (maybe none for the super casual) for a 12 mil GP account to be stuck in mid Aurodium.

I think the points differential per match, accompanied with the increasingly punitive squish, makes it too fast for players to climb / drop ranks. 

I haven’t said it for a while, but they could do with a total reset of GAC skill rating and overhauling the way points are allocated / removed.
