Man, I look forward to being further in the game.  I have no one you just mentioned... 🤣.  A R6 Darth Vader (Duel's End) is about the rarest character I have... which isn't saying much.  However, he was released when I joined... so I spent SO much time going for him.  Which team would you go for first... assuming you restarted?  I just took a friend's suggestion on getting the Bad Batch... and am looking for a new team to go for.  Any advice?

Conquest enemies aren't PVP enemies and they are also not TB enemies. That's something every player has to figure out and learn to counter. You don't defeat Conquest Ewoks the same way you do your opponent's Ewok team in GAC. Smart use of disks and your own roster is exactly the puzzle of Conquest. If there's a tm team on the next node, throw JMK at it. No JMK? FO with Hux. Jabba, Trench, and GG have reactive tm. LV's tm can't be manipulated. Malak will apply Fear passively and interrupt enemy tm trains. Han always goes first. Wat's tm tech gives you tm every time the enemy begins a turn. JKL lead will reduce enemy speed to match his own. Gungans get bonus turns when enemies take consecutive turns.

There are plenty of options.

Ah... okay.  I mainly just use The Great Mothers (with Booming Voice), so nothing in Conquest matters anymore.  I automatically take someone's protection away, everyone assists, that person dies, then the whole cycle repeats.  I have not had to face that problem in a while.  Though, I am stuck in Normal Mode as I am not yet to 4 million GP... so maybe I will experience it more when I get to Hard mode.

Then we're talking about 2 different things.  It's my belief that the OP is complaining about the speeds of Conquest characters.  Some of them have crazy speed, that you'll never be able to match.  If the team also has the ability to turn meter train or the crit thing with Phoenix, then you won't get many turns. 

I don't think the OP is talking about turning the auto function on, rather that the enemy team is controlling the battle for large parts of it due to their initial speeds and then Turn Meter (choo choo) training.  Remember, most of us mod our characters for good speed and hopefully get the jump on the enemy team, which is wasted to a degree in Conquest.

They mean they turn off auto when they want to make a specific choice rather than let the AI run its thing. The specification here is doing it a few characters in advance so it doesn’t skip over who they want control over. I do that sometimes.

Hmmmmmm, there are some teams where you need to be careful.  If you're trying to do feats and use certain teams, it can end up as a watch-fest disaster!  Yes, it's a little frustrating, especially as you're wasting energy.  However, (as Yoda would say)  "A big problem it is not".
