You can’t seriously be suggesting that everyone playing the game spent money to unlock their GLs?
Regardless, I am not in favour of any suggestion that would see me need to do more in game than I already do.

Yes, id say the majority of people did/do since lsbs were not a thing. Especially since the requirements and marquees used to roll out over a couple months in the first place. Do you red crate hard conquest? Because that is more than enough content for most people and you can use your whole roster their. Nothing should really be added to the game unless a lot more tedious things are simmable.
Wookie tell me more about these marquee events for gls, I've only been playing for three years now and have never heard of them. Could you earn shards for free?
True you can use your whole roster but it only happens every other two weeks ,the meta squads besides a few are really the only ones that can beat the tiers, and the feats now are designed for the new squads you have to pay money for to get. Also this may not apply to p2p players who probably make up the most of the people who frequent the forums. I am f2p besides the LSBs I bought to get some gl's lol, got the second to last crate on hard though! Just takes too much time and or money to relic squads and then to max relic them, unless you've been playing for 10 years lol. Just want to get more use out of my entire roster instead of the meta squads. Like what am I going to use a relic 5 resistance pilot for haha. I think more LS and DS battles would add more challenge and after I cleared them, I can go back to simming!
