I'm done with SWGOH and EA

After having played SWGOH nearly from the beginning, I have decided to quit the game and drop everything EA for two reasons.

First - CG's intention to introduce relic delta mechanics, which is widely regarded as a bad move and against the community. The game was getting worse over the last years with raids becoming increasingly boring and repetitive without any feeling of achivement. Conquest mode was unbearable without the newest chars. Relic delta now kills the game for me.

Second reason is the sale of EA to Saudis and more importantly Kushner. I am not going to "invest" my money into their causes by continuing to play EA games.

So this is the moment to finally quit SWGOH despite having spent a high four digit number over the years, to cancel my SWTOR subscription which I happily paid despite not haveing the time to play the game for real and to also stop playing Mass Effect, even though I consider it one of the best RPG's ever made.

Time to make a point and at least go to sleep with a good conscience about having made the right decision (for me of course, everybody else is free to do what they want).

Sad ending to a great range of games, but an ending nonetheless.

I'm kind of looking forward to quitting. Swgoh got me through some very dark times, but I recently went on an antidepressant, and it's been kind of life changing. I'm curious to see what I can make out of life without needing to look at my phone all the time.

Actually, I'm considering grabbing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition the next time I see it on a sale. Who knows if EA will delist it someday, but it seems extremely unlikely that they'll completely kill it if you already have it.

I deleted SWGOH today, felt good like a bad relationship break-up.

I can't fault you at all.    The reason many people are sticking around is the sunk cost fallacy.   Better to start investing elsewhere now than this burning ship.
