I agree that the game really is biased towards light side, and for the people out there who say that it makes sense for the empire to lack empathy (or wahtever) towards their own soldiers "we only care about results", name 1 war that was won (by anyone) without some sort of medical treatment for their soldiers at the front line.
Even if you disagree with that, then how about this:
You need the manpower required to get the job done, that goes for light side and dark side alike, you can´t get the job done if your soldiers drop like flies and the enemy is fine.
