I am no lawyer but I assume that webstore prices have to be aligned with other platform storefront (google play/app store), google allows other storefront to be installed on their operating system like the storefront from Samsung (and others...), I am not so sure for Apple.
Fornite has been banned from their storefront since Epic Games was not using Google/Apple storefront for Fornite micro-transaction.
If EA/CG cut their prices on their webstore everyone would buy on their webstore and the in-game store using the OS storefront would be pointless and then SWGOH would be banned from google play/app store.
The only way I think for EA/CG to cut their price is with a new strorefront developped by EA (like Origin but for mobile).
