You do realize that you can use FDCs without the proscribed units, right? iBarriss will be low stars and low relics for a long time for a big chunk of the playerbase. The 3 and 6 lvl abilities for 9S and 2S are pretty good regardless of iBarriss. You can use that FDC as just the general Inquisitor dcron given the presence of the 9S ability, which we've had before and we know is very good for the Inq team. Did you miss the previous batch of FDCs, with a bunch of toons from different factions slotted onto one cube? Do you think anyone was actually running a team of Poggle, IG-86, IG-88, Poe Dameron, and HK-47? Or maybe they just put it on the Resistance team, totally ignoring 4 out of 5 character abilities?
FDCs are a nice addition to the dcron mechanic overall. No RNG, quite powerful (sometimes oppressively OP), you know exactly what you're getting, and very flexible in terms of how you can use them.
You're complaining about a non-issue.
Nah, fam, just because you CAN use datacrons without the prescribed toons doesn't mean they were designed with that in mind. Plenty of people very successfully used the HK and Rex datacrons with the squad makeup prescribed.
Whats more, the Barriss/2nd Sister/9th Sister squad is very much designed, from the ground up, to be used with those exact toons. Read Barriss' omicron ffs.
Also, if you think CG doesn't design datacrons around characters being whaled-on and high relic'd, you've not been paying attention.
Speaking of not paying attention, I didn't say the entire datacron was useless. I specifically said that there is one interaction that is useless and seems to have been an oversight... because it is.
But it's not useless. You can put 9S into a 5v5 Reva squad and apply the FDC. iBarriss would prevent Reva's revives, so you might want to skip adding her to that team in 5v5, especially since 7S is a perfectly good Healer.
