Its definately a bad idea. Of course, one guy here and there will get 330, since there are millions of players but it would be nice to have a better accuracy when gambling.
Actually, if there were packs with garanteed characters it would sell a lot more i believe.

That's because they stress the gambling side of the thing. They hope you will get like 5 shards and because of this you will keep spending over and over until you succeed. Exactly like someone that puts a foot in the gambling abyss, loses and then keeps wasting money with the hope of winning back all of it sooner or later. Except here you actually don't win a single thing, you're just buying with no sure outcome, which is crazy. It's the same exact mechanism casinos and gambling places in general use to give people addiction and keep them tangled to the gambling spots even if you will most likely never win unless someone else decides to allow you to win to strengthen your addiction. It's scammy and shady but it's exactly what they do. In this case (like in many others, I'd say almost all of them) it's EA rather than CG tho, they're famous for being scammers more than good content creators, they usually hire someone else to create good content and then they add the greed. I barely remember an EA game which didn't have these features since pay to win and pay to play were introduced in the gaming world, ranging from barrages of unwanted and ridiculously costy DLCs to actual scams. They even risked to be accused of making unlicensed gambling and promoting it, so they had to limit the whole thing.
This comment will most likely get deleted because it's the sad truth and truth is not so appreciated around here, especially by EA. But whatever. That's it.
