It's been so long since I did that event I really had to think about it a minute - TFP would probably be the better option since you need him for his ship and he's a requirement for Executor (though that's probably a ways off for you) - he's also important for your Executrix fleet (Tarkin) - Might as well get him out of the way. Gideon is a fantastic character in his own right but isn't strictly necessary for anything that I can think of.
As for who to go for next - that really depends on what your goals are and what your guild needs. It sounds like if you're in a guild with other people that are in a similar place in the game as you are, you're probably doing LS Hoth right now for TB - if that's the case, CLS would be my recommendation, then Chewy, then Padme.
